Joe Madureira is a comic book artist best known for his work on Uncanny X-Men and Battlechasers.
Joe Mad's involvement with TradeWars was brief. At the time he joined Realm Interactive, the game was TradeWars in name only. It had evolved from an MMORTS into an RPG with no space trader elements. Soon after, the name was dropped and replaced with Exarch.
Following the acquisition of Realm by NCsoft, when Exarch was shelved, Joe joined Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa team. Later, when the Exarch project was revived under a new vision and name, Dungeon Runners, an RPG dungeon hack, he provided much of the game's art. He is currently (2010) co-owner, along with David Adams, of Vigil Games. He was creative directory of Vigil's first title, Darksiders. As of 2010, Joe is working on an MMORPG set in the Warhammer 40K universe.
