High Velocity Software (HVS) ported [[TradeWars 2002 v2|TradeWars 2002 v2]] to the Major BBS system from 1992 to late 1997. According to [[Community:Gary Martin|Gary Martin]], he met [[Community:Jeff Moriarty|Jeff Moriarty]] on MajorNet after struggling to create a Major BBS (MBBS) version for a year and a half. Moriarty agreed to a partnership that would allow HVS to create and sell the game, paying Martech a royalty. HVS did not own any rights to the game.
