Sure. Like anyone else, I grew up on solo games, and still play them constantly (lately, I've been on a Master of Magic kick). I just happen to be writing about multi-player games for this magazine. But I do love multiplayer games, beginning with INN's Red Baron, AOL's Federation, or that old BBS standby, TradeWars 2000. Human antagonists are better. Massive online worlds are more interesting than scripted settings. With first-person shooters or real-time strategy games, multiplayer is where most of the fun is coming from; we've already beaten those solo designs ten times before.
